Love is Hell contest

Just wanted to stop in to say that I'll be entering into the Love is Hell contest.  You also can enter here.

I'll be writing something new up for this contest, but I'm also trying to find out if Dark Romance could be allowed for this contest.  Hunter isn't exactly a demon, but he does have a dark power...
I won't be posting about the new story I'm writing up for this until after I write it, and because I'm working on enough novels as it is I'm going to write a short story to save myself time and confusion.
And I just have to get it all finished before August 19th.

I have at last finished revising my short story for the teen magazine.... And this story focuses on fashion.

Sketching a Fashionable Future
As I told you, I've never written a story --or a short story for that matter--focusing on fashion.  When the Teen Inkst Magazine suggested that I give it a try, I thought, "Well, what do I have to lose?"
And so I thought in this post I would tell you simply about the story and about what it was like for me to write this new kind of project.

The short story focuses on a young woman named Chelsea Staceys.  She is in love with fashion.  It is something she absolutely adores, and after all what is there to hate about it.
She has set high goals for herself to achieve, but they are not as easy as one might at first expect them to be.  I think that this story will be one that girls with dreams will be able to understand and relate to.
I should also tell you that this story focuses on a lot of matters that many of my pass stories have not --such as friendship, confidence, dreams, etc.  Friendship is can usually always be in any story, but this one focuses a lot on that because it is Chelsea's friends who end up having a huge effect on her life.... It is her sketches of designs that could very well pave her future or destroy it.
Set in modern times, Chelsea must find her confidence again.

If you read this short story I want to hear your thoughts on it.  I would not say it was a story that I fell in love with, but when I finished it I hoped that someone who has the same dreams as Chelsea had would be inspired to never give up.  So for anybody who ever had dreams about becoming a fashion designer or for any girl who ever wanted to become something more...

Fashion

Innocent & Young I have been informed will be published soon.

But in the mean time I have been asked to attempt to write a fictional story focusing on... fashion.  I admit I've never done a story --or short story for that matter--on such a topic, but I've got until August 20th to write away on thousands of paper to see if I can come up with anything.
If anyone has any suggestions, I am open to them.  Wish me luck!  I'll post more tomorrow about any success or failure I have.

You know what's terrible?  What's really, really terrible?  When you think you have your mind made up and then you don't!  Those of you who are writers know exactly what I'm talking about.  And here I am really mainly talking about the factor that I had my Nano book selected and now I'm thinking of another book that maybe I should do for Nano instead.
Someone please give me an opinion?

Innocent & Young

She had to learn to rule a kingdom that could very well fall apart at any time.

Innocent & Young is the story about a young girl who has to take over the throne before she has even lived through her childhood.  Lela becomes Queen and has more problems to deal with than one should ever have to.  She's only eighteen when her father's enemies, the Klecks, come back into her life to threaten it once more and to destroy the kingdom her father spent years building.

Telling the story from how she sees it is Kym, Lela's advisor and closest friend.

Can Lela rule a kingdom that is falling apart?  Is there any hope?  Can she handle all the responsibilities and stay true to who she is or will she lose herself entirely in all of the madness? 

You can read the short story that I made of this on IP here but the story is going to change entirely is I chose to do it for Nano, since you have to start Nano stories in November anyhow.  I'm interested in your thoughts, whether you read the summary and the short story or just the summary.  Remember the other book I was going to do for Nano was STRONGER.  Seeing as I cannot do both, I am in desperate need of opinions here.

I should also mention that the short story is soon to be published in the teen magazine that Forever Live the King was published in.  I'll post up the link when it's in there!

Great news!

I found out that the magazine I'm published in is only for online view, however...
The girl running it told me that I could become part of the writing staff, which would be I could get way more involved in the magazine and even put more work into it.  I am really excited about this now, but keep in mind that I may be back to ask you guys for your opinion about some more of my stories.

Also, I am interviewing Julie Musil first for the writing interviews.  I'll have her interview up when I get a reply back from her. Remember if you're interested to let me know.
